The invention relates to a ready-to-use vulcanization additive composition containing ground zinc oxide particles. Said composition is characterized in that said ground zinc oxide particles are in the form of a suspension in an oil phase of grinding and have a mean diameter d50 between 100 and 1000 nm, preferably between 200 and 800 nm, more preferably between 250 and 600 nm, and even more preferably between 300 and 500 nm, measured in ethanol by laser granulometry. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing said composition and to the use of said composition in a vulcanization process.
