<p> Provided is an ultrasonic sealing apparatus for a paper container for a liquid, whereby even when the positions of the recessed portion of an anvil and a packaging material step portion are misaligned, the misalignment tolerance can be increased, a step positioning sensor is obviated, and high-speed sealing can be performed. This apparatus for ultrasonically sealing a paper container for a liquid is an apparatus in which a cylindrical packaging material obtained by superposing and sealing the end sections (22, 24) of a packaging material is sealed using a horn and an anvil (14) in the direction across a packaging material step portion (25) of the cylindrical packaging material, wherein the apparatus is provided, in the portion of the anvil (14) contacting the packaging material step portion (25), with a recessed shape part having recessed portions (31b, 32b, 33b) conforming to the cross-section shape of the packaging material step portion (25) in the direction in which the cylindrical packaging material is sealed, the recessed portions (31b, 32b, 33b) having a tapered shape.</p> |
