PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a storage capacity of data required to execute flushing of ink onto a recording medium.SOLUTION: A printing method comprises the steps of: storing a reference flushing pattern 63 of a size of one cycle of flushing in a storage section 51; repeatedly arranging the reference flushing pattern 63 in a column direction V and a row direction H and generating a printing flushing pattern 66 having the same size as a printing size at the time of printing; generating a printing dot pattern 13 being an arrangement pattern of printing dots from input data 10; generating a synthesis dot pattern 14 obtained by overlapping the printing dot pattern 13 with a printing flushing pattern 66; converting the synthesis dot pattern 14 into head drive data 15 and performing the printing; and correcting a dot size at a position where a printing dot D and a flushing dot Df included in the printing dot pattern 13 overlap with each other to one size greater than the other size of two dots at the time of synthesis of the printing flushing pattern 66. |
