PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for biological desulfurization of a hydrogen sulfide-containing gas, which can treat highly-loaded hydrogen sulfide, prevent clogging in the device by converting the hydrogen sulfide to be treated into sulfuric acid, and eliminate a cleaning process to allow treatment at a low cost.SOLUTION: In a biological desulfurization device for biologically removing hydrogen sulfide from a hydrogen sulfide-containing gas by sprinkling a circulation liquid in a biological desulfurization tower 1, a hydrogen sulfide-containing gas line 2 is connected to a plurality of inflow gas lines 5 via distributors 6, and an oxygen-containing-gas inflow line 8 for feeding an oxygen-containing gas is connected to the hydrogen sulfide-containing gas line, a plurality of stages of filling layers 1a made of fillers with microorganisms attached are provided in the biological desulfurization tower, the inflow gas lines are connected to the upstream end of the filling layer in each stage, the inflow gas lines have hydrogen sulfide-containing gas feed amount control means 7, and a treated gas outflow line 10 for discharging the treated gas is provided at the downstream end of the filling layer on the most downstream side. |
