PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can switch whether to prioritize fixing conditions to fix images formed with a toner including a flat pigment on recording media or prioritize the productivity of output images.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus switches between a metallic glossiness mode and a normal mode by using a change-over switch 170. In this way, when fixing a toner image formed with a silver toner on a sheet member P, the image forming apparatus can switch whether to fix the toner image on the sheet member P with different fixing conditions from the case of fixing a toner image formed with a toner of another color on the sheet member P or fix the toner image on the sheet member P with the same conditions.
