The invention relates to a method for transferring an electronic display device (106) for a vehicle into a secured state. The electronic display device (106) is designed to display image information transmitted by an image signal (120) in response to the image signal (120), which is received by a controller (112), and to keep the image information available without applying an operating voltage. The invention is characterized in that the method has a step of receiving a diagnosis signal (124) via an interface to the controller (112), said diagnosis signal (124) representing a signal provided by the controller (112). Furthermore, the method has a step of outputting a reset signal (122) to an interface to the display device (106) depending on a signal state of the diagnosis signal (124), said reset signal (122) being designed to produce a display of secured image information by means of the display device (106) in order to transfer the display device (106) into the secured state. |
