A method and device for locating a picture in a list of pictures. The method comprises: obtaining a time selection made by a user from within a time list in a sidebar, and positioning at a destination position, in the picture list, corresponding to said time (S101); comparing the relationship between the current position and the destination position (S102); if said destination position is above the current position, then automatically scrolling downward in the picture list until the picture at the destination position displays at the current position; if said destination position is below the current position, then automatically scrolling upward in the picture list until the picture at the destination position displays at the current position (S103). |
