<p>A disposable absorbent product (10) has a longitudinal dimension and a transverse dimension orthogonal to the longitudinal dimension. The disposable absorbent product (10) includes first and second absorbent assemblies (13, 15) overlaying one another. The first absorbent assembly (13) has a first topsheet (13a) and a fluid-impervious first backsheet (13b) in overlaying relationship with one another, with the first backsheet (13b) and the first topsheet (13a) being respectively configured to face away from and toward a wearer of the disposable absorbent product (10) during use. The second absorbent assembly (15) includes at least two subassemblies(19, 20), with at least one of those subassemblies (19, 20) being releasably coupled to the first absorbent assembly (13) and including a second topsheet (20a) configured to face toward the wearer of the absorbent product (10) during use and a second backsheet (20b) adjacent the first topsheet (13a) and in overlaying relationship with the second topsheet (20a). The at least two subassemblies (19, 20) are joined to one another through a frangible junction(21).</p> |
