<p>According to the present invention, a character input device includes: a storage device storing a character input application; and a processor executing the character input application. A keyboard interface of the character input application includes: a first keyboard including character keys, special character keys, and numeric formula input keys; a second keyboard including number keys, special character keys, direction keys, parenthesis keys, function keys, character input keys, and function input keys; and a third keyboard including function keys, direction keys, parenthesis keys, numeric formula input keys, and character input keys. In executing the character input application by the processor, the second keyboard is displayed when the numeric formula input keys are input on the first keyboard. When the function input keys are input on the second keyboard, the third keyboard is displayed. When the character input keys are input on the second keyboard, the first keyboard is displayed. When the character input keys are input on the third keyboard, the first keyboard is displayed. When the numeric formula input keys are input on the third keyboard, the second keyboard is displayed. The direction and parenthesis keys are displayed in fixed positions on the second and third keyboards.</p> |
