<p>The present invention relates to a device and a method to detect a fault of a polarizing film. The device comprises a receiving part receiving a test result about a polarizing film, tested in an automatic optical tester; and a detecting part detecting a fault of the polarizing film by analyzing the test result. The detecting part determines a fault type of the polarizing film as at least one among foreign connection substances, connection bubbles, foreign substances, whisking, scratching, crowding whisking, and thrums, based on at least two parameters among defect type, delta X(dx), delta Y (dy), area, density, size, peak, and thickness.</p> |
