PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component demand prediction device and method capable of accurately predicting component demand even in the case where a client does not plan a component exchange schedule.SOLUTION: A demand prediction device 1 includes a component dispensation data storage part 21, an operation count data storage part 22, an operation time data storage part 23, and a processing part 11. When demand prediction processing is executed, the processing part 11 acquires a plurality of operation count data items retroactive from a reference period to the past, a plurality of operation time data items retroactive from the reference period to the past and component dispensation data within the same dispensation period as the reference period. A multivariate analysis model is constructed with a dispensation result number of the component dispensation data as a solution, a plurality of operation counts in the plurality of operation count data items as an operation count factor and with a plurality of operation times in the plurality of operation time data items as an operation time factor. In the constructed multivariate analysis model, a predicted operation count is given to the operation count factor as a variable and a predicted operation time is given to the operation time factor as a variable, such that a predictive number of components to be dispensed is derived. |
