PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for executing proper drive assist based on positional relationship between position of an own vehicle and position of another vehicle. ! SOLUTION: A drive assist system includes other vehicle position acquiring means which, through a vehicle-vehicle communication between an own vehicle and another vehicle, acquires the position of another vehicle which is a position of another vehicle specified by position specifying means provided at the another vehicle, own vehicle position acquiring means which acquires an own vehicle position that is a position of the own vehicle specified by position specifying means provided at the own vehicle, and drive assist means which executes drive assisting based on positional relationship between the own vehicle and the another vehicle.
