<p>A system for providing laparoscopic vision comprises an imaging device, a laparoscope, a sensor at the imaging device which is capable of detecting a position and orientation of the laparoscope, and a processing device. The imaging device may be an X-ray device with an X-ray source and an X-ray detector, an MR-device, a CT device, an ultrasound device or a PET-CT device, with the respective device being capable of image acquisition of the interior of a body. The processing device may be configured for receiving an acquired image of the imaging device, for receiving a laparoscopic image and for receiving a signal from the sensor representing the position and orientation of the laparoscope. The processing device may further be configured to combine the fiuoroscopic image and the acquired image so that the resulting image can be displayed in a B-mode ultrasound way on a display like a monitor.</p> |
