<p>The objective of the present invention is to make it possible, in a large-scale system, for bidirectional communications to be performed between overlapping addresses, and for the effects of additions and changes of private networks to be suppressed. A connection management system is configured to include a DNS server comprising: a communications interface which communicates with other devices; a storage device which stores IP addresses used in networks, and virtual IP addresses of nodes, said virtual IP addresses being used for communication between each network and being set in such a way as to avoid overlap between the networks; and an arithmetic logic device. When a name resolution request is received, the arithmetic logic device compares the IP addresses used by the subject networks with the virtual IP addresses of the subject nodes, at the request origin and the request destination of said communication. If there is an overlap, the arithmetic logic device executes: a process of specifying for the subject node a dummy IP address which does not overlap either the IP addresses or the virtual IP addresses; a process of setting a conversion rule for the virtual IP address and the dummy IP address of the subject node in an NAT device; and a process of returning the dummy IP address to the node as the name resolution result.</p> |
