摘要 The present invention relates to a positive electrode material for a non-aqueous lithium secondary battery using a spherical transition metal carbonate complex and a manufacturing method thereof. The present invention improves structural stability of a final positive electrode material by coating the surface of the spherical transition metal carbonate complex with nano-sized metal oxide and obtains excellent life property while obtaining high capacity of 250mAh/g or more. According to the present invention, the spherical transition metal carbonate complex produced by using cobalt raw materials, nickel raw material, manganese raw material, and ammonium carbonate-based raw materials is coated with titanium dioxide, and the transition metal carbonate complex coated with transition metal oxide with a particle size of 5-25 &mu;m having composition of NixCoyMn1-x-yTizCO3(0.0<x<=0.3, 0.0<=y<=0.2, 0.01<=z<=0.1, 0.5<=1-x-y) can be produced. The coated transtion metal carbonate complex is mixed and heat-processed with the lithium raw material so that spherical Li-rich positive electrode material, capable of using 96% or more of an initial capacity after 60 times charge-discharge in a full cell and having 200nm or more and 0.1C capacity of 250mAh/g or more of a primary particle size, can be produced.
