PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable stationary vane mechanism of an axial compressor which achieves excellent durability and low costs and has a simple structure.SOLUTION: A variable stationary vane mechanism adjusts attachment angles of stationary vanes 27 of an axial compressor 2 and includes: an arm 44 connected with the stationary vanes 27; a rotary ring 42 which is connected with one end part 44b of the arm 44 and positioned at an outer periphery of a casing 24 of the axial compressor 2; a driving machine 53 which rotates the rotary ring 42 thereby rotating the stationary vanes 27 through the arm 44; and a friction pad 67 attached to the casing 24. The rotary ring 42 makes friction contact with the friction pad 67. |
