PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and compact sheet shape measurement apparatus configured to measure a shape of a sheet accurately, and an image forming apparatus. ! SOLUTION: A sheet shape measurement apparatus measures a bend shape of a sheet at a measurement position while passing the sheet through the measurement position. A conveyance section for guiding the sheet to the measurement position by conveying the sheet carried on a carrying surface includes a restraining member having a restraining state and a non-restraining state. The restraining member selects the non-restraining state when at least a part of a measurement area of the sheet passes through the measurement position, and selects a restraining state when the non-restraining state is not selected. !
