The present invention relates to a halogen-free, fireproof, thermoplastic composition, characterised in that it consists of: 50 % to 75 % of fireproofing fillers; 15 % to 40 % of an ethylene copolymer and an ethylene monomer having a polar function; 5 % to 15 % of a non-functionalised polyethylene consisting of a very-low-density polyethylene (VLDPE) having a density of 0.85 to 0.91; and 2 % to 15 % of an ethylene copolymer and an ethylene monomer having a polar function with an MFI greater than 100 g.10min-1 at 190°C under 2.16 kg or an ethylene copolymer and an ethylene monomer having a polar function and comprising a plurality of maleic anhydride grafts; 2 % to 15 % of a coupling agent including, preferably consisting of, a maleic anhydride grafted polyolefin and/or an ethylene-acrylate-maleic anhydride terpolymer, characterised in that the fireproofing fillers are natural hydrated mineral fillers selected among gibbsite (aluminium hydroxide), hydromagnesite, dawsonite, brucite (magnesium hydroxide), magnesium carbonate subhydrate, boehmite, calcium hydroxide or huntite or a mixture of said compounds. The invention also relates to a cable, tube, pipe or the like in which a layer is formed with said composition. |
