The present application relates to microvesicles derived from a protoplast which is a bacterial, arhaea, fungal or plant cell or the like from which a cell wall is removed. The microvesicles derived from a protoplast enables free loading of a material necessary for diagnosis, treatment, vaccine, target induction, cell membrane fusion with a target cell, reduction of in vivo and in vitro side effects, stability improvement, and the like, and allows the therapeutic material, the diagnostic material and/or the vaccine material to be delivered specifically to a specific tissue or cell. |

1. A method of making a pharmaceutical composition, the method comprising:
providing bacteria comprising a cell wall, an antigenic protein and an extracellular domain; removing the cell wall from the bacteria to provide a cell-wall-deficient composition that is deficient of the cell wall and comprises the antigenic protein and the extracellular domain; processing the cell-wall-deficient composition to produce microvesicles comprising the antigenic protein and the extracellular domain, wherein the resulting microvesicles comprise a mixture of first type microvesicles with the extracellular domain on their outer surfaces and second type microvesicles with the extracellular domain on their inner surfaces; isolating, from the mixture, at least part of the first type microvesicles with the extracellular domain on their outer surfaces; and formulating a pharmaceutical composition comprising the isolated microvesicles with the extracellular domain on their outer surfaces. |
