PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator that can prevent a lower temperature of a refrigerating compartment by using waste heat during defrosting in a defrosting operation cycle and that can suppress a temperature rise of a freezing compartment after defrosting. ! SOLUTION: In a refrigerator 1, freezing spaces (8, 9, 10) are disposed below refrigerating spaces (5, 7). The refrigerator includes: a fan motor 15 that is disposed corresponding to the freezing spaces and that normally rotates a fan 13 during cooling to send cold air from a cooler 14; a first damper 21 for opening/closing the fan 13; and a second damper 22 for opening/closing a duct 12 for sending cold air to the refrigerating space side. During defrosting of the cooler 14, while the first damper 21 is closed and the second damper 22 is opened, the fan motor 15 is rotated reversely, so as to guide warm air after defrosting to the duct 12 on the refrigerating space side. !
