PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane pump which can be easily manufactured, and is small in size. ! SOLUTION: A vane pump 200 comprises a rotor 110, a plurality of vanes 130 which are arranged at the rotor 110 so as to freely appear and disappear, and an annular cam ring 1 which surrounds the rotor 110 and the plurality of vanes 130. An external peripheral face 20 of the cam ring 1 is circular in an axial view, a cam face 30 of the cam ring constituting a cam curved line is oblique, and two-time pump strokes are performed during the rotor 110 makes one round. A recessed groove 61 is formed inward of a radial direction at the external peripheral face 20 of a portion other than a maximum stress generated part so that maximum stress at the maximum stress generated part of the cam ring 1 becomes small. !
