<p>Provided is a method for producing a tempered glass substrate, whereby it becomes possible to produce a tempered glass substrate of which the shape can be controlled. A method for producing a tempered glass substrate, which comprises: a surface treatment step of arranging a glass substrate, which has a pair of main surfaces and comprises a glass containing an alkali metal oxide in the component composition thereof, between a positive electrode and a grounding element or a negative electrode, and then applying a direct-current voltage between the positive electrode and the grounding element or the negative electrode to cause corona discharge, thereby migrating at least one kind of alkali metal ion existing in a surface layer part on a first main surface side, which is a positive electrode side of the glass substrate, toward a second main surface side which is a grounding element side or a negative electrode side of the glass substrate; and a chemically tempering step.</p> |
