摘要 The invention relates to a method and a device for measuring thickness of ferromagnetic metal objects. According to the method, a pulse of current is generated in a core coil, the core forming a closed magnetic circuit together with at least a portion of the ferromagnetic metal object; further, the time constant is determined at an exponential voltage resulted from said pulse of current generated in the core coil; and, finally, thickness of the ferromagnetic metal object is determined on the basis of the time constant thus determined.
