An ultrasonic observation device (1) has: a main power supply button (4) that turns on/off an internal power supply unit (11) when pressed; a moving member (22) capable of moving substantially in parallel to the pressing direction of the main power supply button (4) by being interlocked with the pressing of the main power supply button (4); a built-in power supply switch (11a), which is provided to the power supply unit (11) so as to be in contact with the moving member (22), and which turns on/off the power supply unit (11) by being pressed due to the move of the moving member (22); and a move quantity adjusting mechanism that adjusts, when the main power supply button (4) is pressed, a move quantity of a contact portion of the moving member (22), said contact portion being in contact with the built-in power supply switch (11a), such that the move quantity of the contact portion becomes small with respect to a move that exceeds a predetermined move quantity (d) of the main power supply button (4). |
