The present invention relates to a system for monitoring phototactic insects, which comprises: a first support and a second support fixated on the ground; an attraction unit installed on the upper part of the first support for attracting insects; an insect tray installed and connected to the first support by being separated from the lower part of the attraction unit for loading the attracted insects; a filming unit installed in the second support for filming the insect tray; and a power supply unit for supplying current to the attraction unit and the filming unit. The present invention relates to a method for monitoring phototactic insects using the system for monitoring phototactic insects, which comprises the steps of: setting operation time of a filming means as a control means of photographing time; filming the insect tray with the filming means regarding the set time; and storing the filmed image.
