<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for measuring hydroxyl radicals in which the generation state of hydroxyl radicals in a liquid can be observed in real time. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a method and an apparatus for measuring hydroxyl radicals comprising: a container storing a liquid containing terephthalic acid; hydroxyl radical generating means; light irradiating means for irradiating ultraviolet light to the liquid in the container; light detecting means for detecting fluorescent light emitted from a hydroxyterephthalic acid that is formed by trapping hydroxyl radicals generated by hydroxyl radical generating means with terephthalic acid; and controlling means for controlling the hydroxyl radical generating means and the light detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
