In the present invention, there is disclosed a string deformeter for checking changes in width of working joints (1) of building structures with extremely reduced minimal height and with external shape usable for the function of a mounting base with magnetic clips and selectability of building height according to the width of the checked working joint (1), said string deformeter consisting of tubular adaptors (19) of the deformeter measuring contact (2), wherein said tubular adaptors (19) can be manufactured in field conditions. The minimal building height is achieved by placing the string deformation converter into the interior of U- section of a lever (6) of a rectangular tightening level system that converts by the contact (2) the sensed width changes of the checked working joint (1) to a proportional change of the deformeter measuring string (3) prestress. The deformeter measuring system is placed into a space adjoining to the working joint (1) lower wall and when using special magnetic clips it is possible to use a sheet metal protective plug (21) thereof as installation magnetically fixed base and a holder of additional electronic outfit of the deformeter system.
