A closure for a container mouth, comprising a cover portion 18, which covers at least a portion of the container mouth, a fastener portion 20 which engages the container, and a bracing portion 22 which extends in a generally circumferential direction around an axis of the closure and overlaps at least partly the cover portion and the fastener portion. The fastener portion and the cover portion may be formed together and the bracing portion may bridge a discontinuity 38 between the two. The discontinuity may be a split, gap, frangible region or an expandable region. The bracing portion and the fastener and cover portions may comprise interlocking male 44a, 44b and female features for securing them together. The bracing portion may be peeled away so that the cover can be removed. The container may be a drinks glass, can or bottle. |
