A tooling pin comprises a base 3 which is adapted to sit on a support platform and a support which is adapted to support a workpiece during a process operation. The base 3 has at least one substantially planar or straight lateral external edge 11, and the support comprises a head 5 which is adapted to support a workpiece thereon and a body member 7 which connects the head 5 to the base 11. The base 3 may include a plurality of edges 11 which together define a polygon such as a hexagon or the edges 11 may define a cross-shape or T-shape. The edges 11 may define an interlockable shape which allows for interlocking the bases of adjacent tooling pins. The base may also include a magnetic element (115, Fig.5a) for magnetically fixing the tooling pin to a support platform. |
