A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to an embodiment comprises a sequence controller(30) and an analyzer(22). The sequence controller(30) is configured to perform data acquisition in an imaging region after multiple given times since an application of a tag pulse to a tag region, with the multiple given times being different to each other. The analyzer(22) is configured to use multiple sets of the acquired data corresponding to the multiple given times to analyze changes in signal strength over time since the application of the tag pulse.
