<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control chapter setting processing of a content in a recording/reproducing device by using a tag list of the content. <P>SOLUTION: A recording/reproducing device has a chapter generation unit for a content. A portable terminal transmits tag time information included in tag list information of the content to the recording/reproducing device as chapter setting information for the chapter generation unit.
