<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve shortening of working hours for carrying out a heavy load without installing facilities, such as carrier pathways, on the ground. <P>SOLUTION: A carrier carriage 5 is composed of main carrier carriages 8 and 8 which can travel in the optional direction including turns and sub-carrier carriages 9 and 9 which are loaded on the main carrier carriages so as to travel freely and enable at least straight-ahead traveling. The main carrier carriages 8 and 8 travel close to a heavy load 3A. Then, the heavy load is loaded by allowing sub-carrier carriages to travel so that the position Gf of the center of gravity of the heavy load is within an acceptable range Gd of the center of gravity of the sub-carrier carriages. Then, the sub-carrier carriages on which the heavy load is loaded are travelled to the position where the position Gs of the composite center of gravity of the heavy load and the sub-carrier carriages is within an acceptable range Gc of the center of gravity of the main carrier carriages.
