The present invention relates to an inverter chain circuit for controlling a through current. According to the invention, the invention comprises: first and second inverter chains, wherein each inverter chain is formed with a plurality of stages of inverters, an inverter is made up of a N-type and a P-type transistor, and an input signal, which is branched from an input port, is individually applied; a P-type first transistor where an output signal of the first inverter chain is applied to a gate, a first stage is connected to a first power source, and a second stage is connected to an output port; and a N-type second transistor where an output signal of the second inverter chain is applied to a gate, a first stage is connected to a second power source which is lower than the first power source, and a second stage is connected to the output port. The first and the second inverter chain each has M (M is an integer greater than 2) number of inverters, which are alternately connected in cascade wherein the M number of inverters includes inverters of the first group where the ratio of the P-type transistor size to the N-type transistor size is greater than a predetermined threshold value; and also includes inverters of the second group wherein the ratio of sizes is smaller than the predetermined threshold value. The last stage inverter of the first inverter chain provides an inverter chain circuit which is made up of the inverters of the first group; and the last stage inverter of the second inverter chain provides an inverter chain circuit which is made up of the inverters of the second group; and the inverter chain circuits are intended for controlling the through current. According to the inverter chain circuit for controlling the through current, it is possible to reduce the through current and thereby it is possible to obtain the effect of increasing an efficiency of power amplifier and further, an efficiency of the overall system. |
