A method and user interface for predicting an interface control action of a user of an in-vehicle user interface, comprising the steps of collecting and storing data about the vehicle and its environment from sensor(s) of the vehicle and user data about user interactions with the user interface and/or different applications inside the vehicle, assigning likelihoods to possible interface control actions by the user based on the data, determining at least one most likely interface control action from the likelihoods and making it/them available to the user so that it is selectable and performable with one single user interaction with the user interface. Larger likelihoods may be assigned to more frequent and/or recent actions, they may be calculated with a ensemble classifier using date weighted data chunks. Only younger data may be used in assigning likelihoods, user data may be collected and stored via the internet. |
