<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner and a production method of the toner achieving both of good low-temperature fixability and chargeability and causing little toner scattering. <P>SOLUTION: The production method of an electrophotographic toner includes steps of: adjusting a pH of an aqueous mixture liquid, which contains aggregated particles including resin particles (A) and release agent particles and an anionic surfactant having an average addition molar number of ethylene oxide of 5 to 100 and having a polyethylene glycol moiety, to 2.5 to 6.0 at 25°C; and after and/or while adjusting the pH, fusing the aggregated particles in the aqueous mixture liquid.
