METHODS, SYSTEMS AND DEVICES FOR OBTAINING SYSTEM INFORMATION IN A WIRELESS NETWORK

System Information (SI) of a second node of a wireless network is obtained for a wireless device that is communicating with a first node of the wireless network. In response to at least one criterion, one or more of the following operations are performed, to obtain the SI of the second node: decoding at least one channel of the second node to obtain the SI of the second node; receiving the SI of the second node from a node other than the second node; and/or inferring at least one component of the SI of the second node based on a corresponding at least one component of the SI of the first node.
