A light emitting device in which stress loaded between the light emitting element and the substrate can be reduced. The light emitting device includes a substrate extending in a first direction, a sealing resin member, and a light emitting element. The substrate includes a flexible base, a plurality of wiring portions, and a groove portion arranged between the plurality of wiring portions. The sealing resin member seals a part of the substrate and the light emitting element. The sealing resin member is spaced apart from the first groove portion which is a part of the groove portion and extends in a second direction which intersects the first direction. |
