PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system with improved conversion efficiency for converting a DC voltage from a fuel cell into an AC voltage, and a controlling method thereof.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system switches an output from a fuel cell to an auxiliary mechanism among a power conditioner, a first system via an AC-DC converter and a second system via a DC-DC converter, so that conversion efficiency for converting a DC output of the fuel cell into an AC output supplied to the outside becomes high, based on first relation information indicating a relationship of an input voltage, input power and conversion efficiency to the power conditioner, second relation information indicating a relationship of an input voltage, input power and conversion efficiency to the DC-DC converter, and third relation information indicating a relationship between input power and conversion efficiency to the AC-DC converter. |
