Provided are an effervescent beverage-foaming device and method capable of producing a consistent position (height) of the foam surface that is ultimately formed even when there is variation in conditions such as beer temperature, etc. In the beer-foaming device (10), when a foaming button (120) is pressed after a glass (20) into which the beer has been poured is placed on the main body (100), the beer inside the glass (20) is foamed by ultrasonic waves applied from the bottom surface of the glass (20). The foam surface position (height) is detected by a foam surface detector (220) disposed above the glass (20) and the intensity of the ultrasonic waves applied from the bottom surface of the glass (20) is controlled on the basis of the detected foam surface position. |
