<p>A fire and surround assembly 10 has a fire 12, an outer fire surround 14 which when in position extends around the fire 12 and is spaced therefrom and an inner fire surround 16 which in use holds the fire 12 and the outer fire surround 14 in the spaced arrangement. Methods of installing can include securing the inner fire surround 16 to both the fire 12 and the outer fire surround 14 and then offering the assembly to a fire opening O; or sealing the outer fire surround 14 to the opening O, assembling inner fire surround 16 to fire 12, and then offering the assembly to the opening O. The assembly can be bolted together, and the spacing can be adjustable.
