The tool (1) has a tool main portion (3), a cassette (4), and a cutting device (14) releasably connected with the cassette. The positioning device is arranged at the main portion for the alignment of the cassette in the tool main portion in a predetermined position. The positioning device is formed with a gap. A projection is arranged at the cassette for engaging with the gap, and is releasably connected with the cassette. A fastening device (9) is provided for fastening the projection in the gap. An independent claim is included for method for grooving a roll with a tool.
