An apparatus comprising a jig and method for using such jig for the construction of geometric framework segments such as triangular segments, of construction materials such as rods, bars, tubes, etc. which are constructed to provide a generally curved cross-sectional appearance and which are utilized in the construction of geodesic framework which serve as reinforcing and/or support for geodesic domes. Additionally, a geodesic framework is provided which may be readily and simply constructed.
