According to one embodiment, a receipt data processing device includes a data generating section, a command issuing section, and an output section. The data generating section is configured to generate receipt data including information about an item purchased by a customer. The command issuing section is configured to issue a cut command that causes a sheet on which a receipt image corresponding to the receipt data is printed by a printing device to be cut off. The output section is configured to output the receipt data to an external device that is different from the printing device, in response to the issuance of the cut command by the cut command issuing section. |
