<p>A catapult (2) comprises a handle (4), a pair of arms (6), a pouch (8), elastic material (10) connecting the pouch (8) to the arms (6), and securing means (12) which secures the elastic material (10) to the arms (6). The length of the elastic material (10) from ends (14) of the arms (6) to the pouch (8) is able to be adjusted in order to vary the firing distance of the catapult (2). The elastic material (10) extends along the arms (6) and inside the arms (6) with the securing means (12) comprising a slot (16) which extends along each one of the arms (6) and which has an open mouth (18) extending along a side (20) of the arm (6) which faces a user during firing of the catapult (2), a plurality of securing formations (22) extending along the length of the slot (16), and a securing member (24) which is attached to an end portion (26) of the elastic material (10) and which is locatable in a chosen one of the securing formations (22) and thereby to adjust the length of the elastic material (10).</p> |
