<p>Disclosed are a method and system for reporting additional measurement results, which method comprises: a base station notifying a terminal of whether or not the terminal should report an additional measurement result; the terminal ranking a plurality of cells at a current frequency according a predetermined ranking mode in accordance with the notification of the base station and selecting the optimal cell at the current frequency according to the ranking result to report the additional measurement result. The present invention enables the base station to control whether the terminal reports the additional measurement results, which reduces the possibility of the terminal reporting the additional measurement results, thus reducing system overhead.</p> |
