摘要 The present invention relates to a device and a method to control engine rpm of construction machinery. The device includes a hydraulic oil pump operated by an engine; a non-hydraulic oil operating part operated by the power of the engine except for the hydraulic oil pump; at least one pressure sensing part sensing the hydraulic fluid pressure of the hydraulic oil pump; an RPM sensing part sensing RPM of the engine; and an engine control part controlling the RPM of the engine to increase the RPM to a first low speed RPM, which is higher than a second low speed RPM, when the pressure of hydraulic fluid is sensed by the pressure sensing part while the engine is rotating at the second low speed RPM and the RPM of the engine, sensed by the RPM sensing part, drops to a first RPM value, which is a preset maximum RPM drop value, due to a load of the non-hydraulic oil operating part. Therefore, when a worker makes an urgent load on the hydraulic oil pump by mistakenly manipulating a joystick or pedal in a low speed rotation section, vibration or suspension of a machine is prevented, and moreover, fuel efficiency is improved.
