Disclosed is a manhole cover locking device using a cam device. The manhole cover locking device using the cam device includes a manhole cover supporter having a locking groove on the inner surface and a locking protrusion on the inner circumference; a manhole cover having a guiding unit seated on the locking protrusion and including a guide hole and a seating unit having a seating hole spaced inward from the guiding unit at a predetermined interval on the bottom; a driving device including a circular manipulating unit enabling rotation and a cam-shaped driving unit making a cam lobe to face the guiding unit when the manipulating unit is in a locking position and making the cam lobe to face the seating unit when the manipulating unit is in an opening position; and an operating unit including a ring-shaped operating protrusion unit between the seating unit and driving unit and an elastic member fitted between the seating unit and the operating protrusion unit, and having one end fitted into the seating hole, the other end seated on the locking groove by being inserted into the guide hole, and the other tapered surface. The present invention is characterized by joining the manhole cover and the manipulating unit using a gasket cap for a watertight effect. According to the same, the present invention is capable of being open and closed much easier, preventing accidents by presenting separation due to external impact or internal water pressure, reducing noise and abrasion due to vibration generated when a pedestrian or a vehicle moves, preventing the open manhole cover from being left due to user carelessness by automatically locking the manhole by an elastic force without separate manipulation when closing the manhole. |
