SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING ROAD SURFACE-TEMPERATURE

A system for estimating the temperature of a road surface comprises: a tire temperature sensor measuring the inner temperature of a tire; an external temperature sensor measuring the external temperature of a vehicle; a driving information providing unit providing driving information of the vehicle; and a temperature estimation device receiving the inner temperature of the tire from the tire temperature sensor, the external temperature of the vehicle from the external temperature sensor, the driving information of the vehicle from the driving information providing unit and estimating the temperature of the road surface coming in contact with the tire based on the same. The present invention economically estimates the temperature of the road surface coming in contact with the tire using a value received from the sensors installed in the vehicle.
