PASSWORD MUTUAL AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR U-HEALTHCARE ENVIRONMENT

The present invention relates to a system for password mutual authentication for u-healthcare environment and a method therefor. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a system for u-healthcare environment comprises: a register for receiving a user ID and password from a user and for issuing a smart card containing secret key information based on a Rivest Shamir Adleman (RSA) algorithm; a card reader for receiving the user ID and password from the user and for transmitting a login request massage by using the information on the smart card; and a server for allowing a login by performing a mutual authentication with the user in response to the login request message, wherein the card reader converts the secret key to a conversion key according to a discrete logarithm-based algorithm and includes the key in the login request message.
