<p>A ventilating device for a roof having a longitudinally extending ridge board and at least one vent opening adjacent the board comprises a cover extending over the board and longitudinally along the opening and coiled members extending longitudinally along the cover on opposite sides of the opening to support the cover over the opening. The cover includes two plies of material, a top ply and a bottom ply. Each ply extends along the majority of the length and width of the cover spaced apart by connecting members extending between the plies. Spaced coils define the coiled members that define passages therebetween to permit venting of a structure through the opening and the passages. A porti-on of the bottom ply is removed and forms a substantially continuous channel. The coiled members extend along respective channels and are attached to the cover beneath or through the channel.</p> |
